Taylor was able to get up to Korr and film Pastor David and make a short film about community with him that will be shown at an upcoming conference. Pastor David is an amazing man who has been able to go to seminary and felt called to return back to his home and minister.
We got a Ridgeback puppy named Max! He is adorable and will hopefully soon get over his chewing up every shoe he finds stage. We also were able to dog sit a dog named Zabunya for a bit. Larson loves big dogs and enjoyed his time with his new friend!
A belated birthday greetings to our kiddos! Larson turned 5 in December, and last week Avery turned 8!
What a treat to have Nana, Pops, and Aunt Lauren come to visit us this Christmas! We got spoiled while on home assignment being around family so it was an extra special treat to have family here this year!
This year we had a lovely SIM Kenya Christmas party. We heard from missionaries from all continents, minus Antartica, share how Christmas is celebrated in their home countries. Seven years ago today we left DFW airport and headed to the field. We are so thankful for all those who have supported us along this journey. The picture above was of our first thanksgiving celebration in Nairobi just a week or so after we arrived and were going through orientation. What a flashback!
One of the cool things about our new home is that we have a shamba or small farm/garden with banana and avocado trees!
